Lexus LS400 Paint Correction

One week on from the purchase and the LS has had about 400 miles put on it. I had a bit of time free at the weekend so I decided to attempt to refresh the paintwork. Armed with some polish that I had in the garage and a Kestrel DAS6 machine polisher I set about correcting some of the lighter paint defects.

The overall condition of the paint can be seen in these pictures. After washing the car I then clayed it using Bilt Hamber Auto Clay and made a first pass with a light cutting polish and a second pass with Poorboys Black Hole. This image shows the offside front wing and driver’s door in a before & after shot:

I then worked around the rest of the car and finally put a sealant on protect the 8 hours of hard work!
