The Grossglockner High Alpine Road (in German Großglockner-Hochalpenstraße) is the highest surfaced mountain pass road in Austria.
It connects Bruck in the state of Salzburg with Heiligenblut in Carinthia via Fuscher Törl and Hochtor Pass at 2,504 m (8,215 ft). The road is named after the Grossglockner, Austria’s highest mountain.

A short drive down into Austria in preparation for the Gross Glockner was scheduled today.
After a bit of sightseeing in Munich we made the short journey down to Fusch (close to Zell am See) with plenty of time to relax at the outdoor pool surrounded by mountains before making the ten minute trip in Zell am See for dinner.
At the moment the current plan is drive through parts of France, Germany, Austria, Italy, Monaco, Switzerland and Belgium. One week on from the purchase and the LS has had about 400 miles put on it. I had a bit of time free at the weekend so I decided to attempt to refresh the paintwork.
